I Have a Dream

Do you have a dream job? I'm pretty sure everyone does. You know the job you would have if you didn't have to worry about money, or what your family thought about you, or where you had to live.

My dream job would be to host a food and travel show. But I don't want to cook anything, I want to travel around the world going to normal every day people's homes and have them share a secret recipe with me. There is such a massive wealth of food knowledge out there ready to be devoured. So my plan would be to travel around the world, sharing food, and knowledge with people who do this food thing alot better than I do.

Have you ever seen the show Food Safari? That is my inspiration for my dream job. And in a month's time, I am very happy to announce that I am going to take a food safari of my own. Nick and I have been saving with a vengence for the last 8 months and are about to take a 5 week trip to Europe. It's going to be our very own Food Safari. Travelling through different countries in Europe, sampling the food, opening my eyes and stomach to the plethera of gastronomic creations on offer. People ask me, what are you looking forward to the most, I simply reply, eating.

So knowing this in the month leading up to my trip, my usually buttery goodness treats that I have been making are going to take healthier route. Don't expect me to go all calorie counting on you, I just can't do that. But I will be giving you some of my healthier option dinners that I cook when I need to up the vegie uptake. Plus a few sneaky vegie tricks for all you Mums out there.

I am doing this so that I can pretty much eat whatever I want while I am over there. It's my little trick, step up the exercise, eat healthier before I go on holiday so I can do as I please and not worry about the holiday bulge.

If you have any healthy recipes that you would like me to try this month, let me know. I need as many as I can get!
